So you own an inflatable cinema set-up and you keep getting asked “can I show films during the day?”
The inflatable cinema screen is designed for night screenings only. You will only be able to get an image on the screen just after sunset. This does depend on the strength of your projector, but most outdoor cinemas should use a 5000-6000 lumens projector. Once you get an image on the screen, position the projector so that the image fits the entire screen. While the sun is setting you can show any pre-show films or on-screen advertising you have. It is best to start the movie once the sun has completely set and the colour of your film is bright and clear. You do not want to adjust the colour once the movie starts.
To screen films during the day you will need an LED screen. An LED screen operates just like a giant LCD television screen except that the pictures and images that are displayed are made up of a cluster of tiny LED pixels. Their brightness allows them to be used outdoors where they are visible in the sun for store signs and billboards.
