What is rear projection?
The letter F and A with the questioning emoji. Frequently asked question: What is rear projection?

All our screens are cinematic quality and allow for front or rear projection. Rear projection is projecting the image onto the screen from behind the screen.

The positives of projecting onto the screen this way are two-fold.

  1. Placing the projector together with the cables and other equipment behind the screen makes the cinema setup much neater for the audience.
  2. Front projection requires placing the equipment within the audience and can take away valuable audience space.

For the picture to appear normal for the viewers with the projector behind the screen, all you need to do is to set it to rear projection mode on the settings of the projector.
