‘Tis the season (for some of us), the birds are singing, flowers bloom, and the sun is out. Time to wipe away the cobwebs and swing open the doors to let the fresh sweet air of spring… oh wait, SCREEN cleaning. Here are the 3 most important maintenance measures you need to do to protect the investment of your high-quality pop-up cinema screen surface and increase its longevity.
- Store in the proper place. Make sure the screen is disassembled correctly once a viewing is completed and kept in a large enough space that won’t be exposed to extreme temperatures, vermin or other hazards. It may seem obvious but it’s worth remembering!
- For screens used over a long period of time, it makes sense to regularly examine them for dirt or other blemishes. For cleaning and upkeep be sure to get instructions from your Screen Supplier or Manufacturer. They will be able to tell you what cleaning products work best.
- Avoid extreme conditions on the day of screening. Just like you wouldn’t store outdoor screens in freezing cold or sweltering heat, plan on rescheduling should nature prove too hairy for you to contend with. High winds should be watched out for in particular.
If you follow the above steps and provide simple, routine care for your inflatable screen you’ll be able to use your pop-up cinema system for years to come.
